What to expect at your first fertility consult:
During the first visit the doctor will listen to you as a couple and try to establish the reason for your visiting the fertility specialist or the cause for difficulty in conceiving. The assessment includes a detailed history, examination, ultrasound and arranging for further appropriate investigations (blood tests, hysterosalpingogram, semen analysis, etc).

Modern assisted reproduction:
The first child conceived by IVF (in-vitro fertilisation) was born in 1978. Modern assisted reproduction now has many options including minimally invasive laparoscopic & hysteroscopic surgery; artificial insemination of sperm; in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI); and surrogacy; and pre-implantation genetic screening (PGD).

Your pregnancy, your way:
Your pregnancy is possibly the most exciting journey of your life. But each woman is unique, with her own personal plan for her pregnancy & delivery. As far as possible, this is accommodated: by facilitating a safe vaginal delivery; utilising appropriate analgesia; allowing for vaginal delivery after caesarean section; or performing caesarean section on demand.
